Potato Soup

Since the Fall season is approaching, I thought of one of my favorite recipes: potato soup. It is super easy to make, and is definitely a comfort food! If you'd like to know how to make this amazing soup, read on!

INGREDIENTS:
-10 slices of turkey bacon
-4 tablespoons of butter
-1 large yellow onion, diced
-1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons of flour
-9 cups of chicken stock
-5 cups of warm milk
-2 pounds of potatoes
-1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
-1 cup of sour cream
-salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Have all ingredients ready
- Melt butter in a pot
-Add in your bacon and cook until slightly crispy
-Add in chopped onion and sauté until transparent
-Add in the flour and sauce for about a minute
- Add in your chicken broth and warm milk. Stir until incorporated
-Slowly add in your potatoes and simmer on medium-low for about 10 minutes or until the potatoes have fully cooked
-Add in your salt and pepper
-Once the potatoes are fully cooked, add in your sour cream and cheese
-Garnish with more cheese if desired or green onion
-Serve hot, and enjoy!
